Tracy Hall

Arist Statement

I see art as a meditative practice and a way to remind myself of the interconnection between things. I believe it can be freeing and healing to deeply engage with the natural world; it reminds me that there is another way of being outside of the human set of rules. For me, creating is a way to express things that are difficult to put into words. It becomes a means to clarify my experience and connect deeply with others, a way of viewing the world that I see as inextricable from my sense of self. I believe sharing this perspective can help others to feel a sense of engagement with the non-human and cultivate a mindset that we are part of the earth, not separate or superior.
